Vegetable Pulav...

                            Happy to post my 150th Recipe..

Ingredients:
. Basmati rice 2 cups
. 1/2 Cup chopped Carrot
. 1/2 cup chopped Potato
. Water 3 cups
. Ilachi 4 no's
. Lavang 4 no's
. Cinnamon
. Ginger garlic paste 1 spoon
. Mirchi 4 no's(slit in between)
. Onions 1 no's(chopped)
. Chopped Pudina 1/2 cup
. Bay leaves 2
. 1/2 cup Cashew nuts
. Sajeera 1/2 tbsp
. Ghee 2 tbsps
. oil 4 tbsps
. salt to taste

Method:
1) Soak Basmathi rice along with Cinnamon, ilachi and lavang for 1/2 hr.
2) Heat oil and ghee in bottomed pan and add chopped onions, chilly's, mint leaves, ginger garlic paste,ilachi,lavang,cinnamon, sajeera, cashew nuts and bay leaves and fry for some time.
3) Add chopped carrot and potato and fry until half cooked.
4) Now add soaked rice(with out water) and fry for some time.Now add water(which is used for soaking rice) along with salt and cook the rice until done. This can be prepared in pressure cooker also.
