Ingredients:
. 8 to 10 mirchi(green chilies)
. 1/2 cup peanuts
. 2 tbsp sesame seeds
. 1 large onion
. 1/4 cup oil
. 1 tbsp mustard seeds
. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
. 1 tbsp coriander powder
. 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
. 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
. 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
. Ilachi 4 no's
. Lavang 4 no's
. Cinnamon
. Salt to taste
. 3 cup water
Method:
1) Wash and slit green chilies lengthwise without cutting the chilies into two. In a pan, heat about a tablespoon of oil.Add chilies and fry for some time.Keep this a side.
2) Roast peanuts and sesame seeds separately and keep aside.
3)In a pan add 2 tbsp oil and add chopped onion cook until they get light brown.
4)Add tamarind, turmeric, peanuts, sesame seeds, ginger garlic paste, salt and 1 cup water to fried onions and blend to a smooth paste.
5) In the same pan add the remaining oil and add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add lavang,ilachi and cinnamon. Add in the prepared paste and water and stir.
6)Add red chili powder, coriander powder and mix well..
7) Add in the fried chilies. Cover the pan and let it cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Hyderabadi special Mirchi ka salan is ready to eat with any biryani........
